gpl.rocks provides premium products (software) for the development of websites, including WordPress themes and plugins, PHP-scripts, etc. all under General Public License aka GPL.

GPL is the abbreviated version of “General Public License.” WordPress is open-source software released under the GNU General Public License (GPL). It was created by forking another GPL-licensed project; almost all the top plugin, theme, add-on, and extension developers follow GPL. At gpl.rocks, we provide files that are fully licensed under the GNU GPL, just like WordPress.

Here is a video from Matt Mullenweg, the creator of WordPress, in which he explains the GPL and its ramifications in simple terms.

All WordPress items such as plugins and themes are licensed under the General Public Licence (GPL). This means that once we have purchased the item we are free to redistribute it if we choose to do so. Your purchase to our site goes towards maintaining and buying new product to 3rd party theme and plugin authors. This form of crowd funding helps keep prices low and we can then pass this benefit on to you. Our products don’t include premium support. Thats why we can offer up to 95% discounts on must-have commercial WordPress plugins.

Yes, all our products are 100% authentic. If we feature a product on our website, then we have an active subscription to that product’s author(s) or accredited reseller. We download the product from them and redistribute to you. These downloads are not altered in any way.

Yes. As soon as we are notified about an update, we download it from the author or accredited reseller and update it on our site.

We update our repository daily, however since our database is getting bigger every day, sometimes we need more time to get your products with latest version.

However you can always request an update of any purchased product. We guarantee to update it within 5 days after the receipt of your request.

You can update them manually via FTP or by following this guide.

Yes, as long as you have a subscription with us you will get free updates to your products.

Of course. Under a GPL license, you are free to keep them if you want. Please be aware that you will need an active subscription with us if you want to access any future updates.

Unfortunately we don’t provide support. If you require technical support regarding a theme or plugin, then you will need to either purchase the product directly from the author (a link is provided) or you will need to hire a freelancer. We suggest you as well to raise your questions under some WordPress community forums.

Not offering support is the way in which we are able to offer the products at the discounted price.

Although we offer free support regarding themes or plugins installations. Please use our Customer Support form and we will get back to you between 24h to 48h not including the weekends.

Developers include these so that the theme or plugin can update automatically or so that you can register for support. The item itself will work perfectly with this field empty. We highly recommend you update your theme/plugin manually when updates become available on our website.

Ignore it!

Developers include these keys to be able to automatically update their plugin or theme and allow you to register for support. The item itself will work perfectly fine without entering a license key. We recommend updating your themes and plugins manually as updates become available on our website.

Consider hiding the license activation reminders through a plugin like Disable admin notices individually This is a free plugin that is very popular in the WordPress community. Make sure to check the official documentation for more information!

Some plugins are available for test purpose only. This means that you can use it, but you will not have 100% functions because developer has blocked it. To avoid any support workload from our side, we have decided to offer you 24h to test the plugin. Be aware that after 24h we consider that you want to keep the plugin and refund cannot be applied.

Some themes will not come with demo data as this is copyrighted either by the developer or by a third party. If you review the Terms of Services under developer website or Themeforest.net, you will see that some Themes are not providing images because they are copyrighted. Feel free to review the GPL website or Matt Mullenweg video where he explains for example that CSS code is not under GPL.
